tekstyle
does anyone know where i can get a wireless remote for my MD player? i don't even know if such thing exist, but has anyone ever made one? to my knowledge, the remote plug looks like this O |1| |2| |3| |4| O = audio jack ( supposed to come straight out of unit, and go straight to the earphones) so for the |1| |2| |3| |4|, these are for operating and powering the remote. isnt there a way to hook these connections up to a wireless transmitter on the unit, and a reciever/power supply on the remote end for a wireless remote?? has anyone made something like this? i just want to replace my car head unit and use this instead, and really really want to make the usage as convenient as possible. THANKS! NOTE: audio signals are still ran straight out from the unit to earphones, headphones, preamp input on car amplifier, YOU NAME IT! Christopher
There is no wireless remote for a portable player, except the MZ-E7W and the MZ-E606W. It is possible though, but you would need exact information about the current eminating from the remote, and the currents that eminate from the remote when you do certain commands, then build a wireless remote and such. Tough task, I'd say..
Cheese
The remote issues commands by switching resistances across pins 2 and 4. I have built a working titler that connects to the pc and titles whilest winamp plays music to be recorded simultaneously. I know that a company was developing this for a while but it fell through due to lack of demand. However, on the projects page of this website, you will find instructions on making something similar to what you require - you'll need to be good with a soldering iron though. I considered it for a while (IR encoders/decoders for wireless remote controls are very cheap) but when the remote is used, the optio of line out isn't avaliable on my recorder, and the headphone output is very quiet through my home amplifier. Goodluck to you.
