Negative Reviews on Connect and copyright controls

OK, so I've read all the negative reviews on Connect, including the one in the Wash. Post this Sunday, but the one positive one in CNET got me thinking: If I'm the copyright holder, why would I want to license my music to a download service that provides less copywrite protection than more? Look at Warner: they license their music on the strictest of terms. If I owned a lot of music, I'd do everything I could to promote Sony's Connect, and consider discouraging sites that promote formats that offer the least amount of protection. And so...and so....

So...what am I missing here?
