Christopher
How to properly reinstall NetMD: 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This means, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage, Simple Burner, and RealOne. Make sure that you unplug your unit. 2. If you run Windows XP, proceed to delete directories within 'Program FilesAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation' 'Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared' 'Program FilesSony' relating to OpenMG. 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries.Install Sonicstage 2 only and then give it a shot. Maybe the installation of Sonicstage 2 over Sonicstage 1.5 caused error..

Christopher
What's the bitrate of the file? Does this occur with any other files, or just this one?
Wc Keep
it occurs with ALL my files.
Christopher
Do you have another computer you could test this out on? If it fails on another, then it must be the unit.
Wc Keep
already tested it on two other computers works fine on both of them.
Christopher
I checked some posts on various forums and it's all pointing to a faulty uninstall. You have to uninstall and delete [in the registry, etc] everything related to Sony and OpenMG. Once everything is "fresh", then reinstall Sonicstage 2 only and reboot after the installation. TimD
Yep, I had to do the same thing by deleting everything related to Open and Sony. A clean reinstall did the trick for me. Be ready for this to take a long time and I hope your efforts are worth it.
