Huw
This problem occurs when downloading any more than two CD in LP4 mode, the first two discs copy fine, with all track names etc. but when attempting to copy a third CD it copies three to five tracks fine and then proceeds to not copy names for the remaineder. I can delete these tracks but cant rename them or move them into new or existing groups, any ideas? Thanks in advance Huw P.S. Both versions of sonic stage exhibit this problem
Christopher
I would suggest you uninstall everything first. How to properly reinstall NetMD: 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This means, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage, Simple Burner, and RealOne. Make sure that you unplug your unit. 2. If you run Windows XP, proceed to delete directories within 'Program FilesAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation' 'Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared' 'Program FilesSony' relating to OpenMG. 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. And then install Sonicstage 2 only and try it out.

Christopher
Could very well be. Is this unit still under warranty?
polario
Sony MD Track Labeling Restrictions Maximum number of characters per name Track names, group names, and disc name: Approx. 200 each (containing a mixture of all available characters). Maximum number of characters that can be input per disc Alphanumeric characters and symbols only: Approx. 120 titles of about 10 characters each (a maximum of about 1,700 characters). The number of titles that can be stored on a disc depends on the number of characters that are input for track names, group names and disc name. Note: If you enter the symbol "//" between the characters in disc names such as "abc//def", you may be unable to use the group function. Source: Sony MD Operating Instructions Your missing track names are most likely due to the above mentioned restrictions. This also impacts the group information stored on the disc. Solution: Use shorter track names, and you'll be fine. /Polario
