sm0ked
Ive been searching the web for a program that will allow me to transfer mp3s onto my Sony MS walkman (NW-MS7) and after days and days have still yet to find anything. I have lost my cd with all the software on it so i need the whole thing, not updates! (as ive found alot of updates to which you need the basic file first) Please can anyone help me, i have windows xp and would REALLY, really appreciate any help Thanks

sxc
Try going to www.connect.com and you will get the SS 2.0 software. But I think maybe you need an additional driver file for SS 2.0 to recognise that you have a MS Walkman to transfer to. Not sure where you can get that from.... sm0ked
thx alot sxc, anyone know where i can get this driver from?
sm0ked
im downloading it but it says 'Downloading files for Sonic Stage 2.0 upgrade' - does that mean i should already have some files to upgrade on? :S
sxc
Were you successful with the install? I was able to install the SS 2.0 from Connect on a computer that never had SS on it before, and it was fully functional.
doclloyd
Yes, the Connect download of SS2 will work just fine and install even if no previous SS exists. My roommate just did this tonight. It also installed some NetMD drivers that worked with his N910. No separate driver installation necessary! Perhaps it comes with basic drivers for all sorts of Sony devices. Give it a try. sm0ked
it all works fine up until i try to play the songs on my ms walkman - it says 'stick error' or something along those lines... is the format wrong or what? Any ideas ?
doclloyd
How are you transferring files to your device? According to Sony's site, it supports ATRAC3 (not ATRAC3plus) playback. Are you converting your mp3's using SS2.0 to ATRAC3 and then transferring to your walkman?
sm0ked
does it convert the mp3's to ATRAC3 automatically when you transfer? Im just trying something out, ill let you know if it works or not, thx alot for the advice

doclloyd
Glad I could help. My roommate's had the N910 for almost a year and yesterday I finally show him how convenient NetMD is for transferring mp3's over, particularly long dj mixes. :-) Enjoy your music.
