No1Speshal
Hello I wonder if you can help me. I was just about to buy a Sharp MDMT80HS to use for recording rock concerts, and then someone suggested the Sharp IMDR420HS. In your opinions, is it worth double the money to get the latter? Both of these units are reconditioned and guaranteed. My second question as being technically illiterate I can't seem to make sense of all the data I've read here LOL, is what type of mic and where to get it, bearing in mind these gigs are usually pretty damn loud. Thanks
Christopher
Welcome, No1. I would definitely recommend you read some of the other threads in this forum [Live Recording]; alot of solid information has already been said. Anyway, I think ultimately the DR420 would be the better buy, if you lived in Europe. If not, state your budget and I can make a better recommendation. Have you looked at our equipment browser [http://minidisc.org/equipment_browser.html], btw? You can learn quite a bit there.
No1Speshal
Thanks Kurisu - yes, I am in Europe. I shall take your advice, though it does mean a little more time needed to save (fingers crossed the unit is still available when I get the money together) though I do think it's a bargain. I've been browsing this forum for a while but sometimes I think too much information leads to overload LOL, however I've saved some company links for places to buy mics and I shall look through the specs pages as you suggest. Thanks for your response.
