jazmaan
Does anyone here have any experience with or knowledge about Sony's D-NE710 discman player? Apparently you can burn ATRAC CD's using Sony's software and play them back on this machine. I'm wondering whether this might be a useful adjunct to a HiMD recorder, but I'm not quite sure why I might need to transfer from HiMD to CD while retaining the ATRAC format. Jobete
Yeah, I bought my D-NE710 last November, and I still love it and use it almost every day, although that may change when I get my hands on the HiMD MZ-NH900. I like to use CD-RWs and make mp3 CDs with 100 to 150 songs on it. I often make ATRAC CDs (usually around 250 to 300 songs), but you need a lot more patience because SonicStage freezes more than Siberian ice trays. But the Discman itself works great, and the battery life is so good that you actually get excited when the battery meter goes down a tick. But HiMD will do everything that this guy can do and more, including fitting in my jeans without pain. But then again, it costs about three times as much, and discs are more expensive. I really can't see any way you'd use them together, if that's what you're asking. But then again, you can't buy a CD at the record store and play it on the way home on an MD player, and you could transfer it from the Discman to the MD recorder, totally bypassing the PC. To sum up, this D-NE710 is my favorite toy, but I'm afraid as soon as I save up enough cash to get me a HiMD, it'll spend more time on my shelf than in my arms.
