burtonjc
I know that you cannot transfer a song from MD back to your computer. I record my band rehearsals and I would like to put them onto a CD. Is there anyway to drag and drop to get my audio files onto my hard drive? I know I could run a line out from my MD to the line in on my comp and record in real time, but that would be a pain. Thanks for any help. Jake
Christopher
There is no possible way to do this other than line/headphone out on your MD to the mic/line in on your computer, or digitally with a deck/bookshelf with optical out and a soundcard with digital in. A "drag and drop" interface [somewhat] will be available with Hi-MD units.
burtonjc
If my only option of input on the computer is the mic jack, should I come out of the MD using the headphone jack or the optical jack? Does each jack require a different kind of cable?
Christopher
Use the headphone jack. You will need a male-to-male stereo cable for transfer and a program to facilitate the recording. Please search for more information on this, as it's been discussed many times in the past.
