96ctd Posted June 15, 2004 Report Share Posted June 15, 2004 i have a whole MD collection and lost my sony mdx-c7900 deck in my wreck. I'd like to step up to an MDLP deck for my new truck, i already have a cd changer. are there any decks that will record or should i stick to a portable for recording? (my friend has a portable MDLP player/recorder he'll sell me if i need it...) I'd really like to be able to record MD's from my changer while i'm driving(I drive a LOT) also, for outputs, I want to run 5 speakers (6.5" components in front, 6x9's rear and a sub) is there an MD deck that has the outputs for that or do I have to get an external EQ or expensive amp? I already have a 4-channel amp to run the 4 speakers and also have a seperate amp for the sub... I was happy with my last MD player and never really got into all the different options available with the MDLP decks and recorders. i would really appreciate some input as i'm WAY behind in the MD technology! thanks a lot. oh and I'd prefer to stay away from Sony ASSPLOD but I'll take function over visual...
