RaGob
Hello, I've tried to record a great big concert. I've used a Soundman OKM II Professional (Original Head) Mic with a Sharp DR-470 MD Rec. I used the A3-adapter delivered with the Mic. The adapter makes it possible to use the mic over Line-In (view www.soundman.de). After that I set the micpeak to max. -2db. It seems to be a good record. But when hearing at home I must hear that the bases were obviously too hard so that the record is distorted with every beat. Do you think it's possible to rescue the record and when you think that, how could it go? I have Adobe Audition 1.0 to work on the record. Thank you very much! Sincerely RaGob
johnty
a bass cut is worth a try, although that will not remove the distortion. the best thing to do is to use a batt box with bass roll-off next time. post-rec editing is just for small tweaks - no miracles there.
