wtree
I recently heard about the M-Audio Transit (www.m-audio.com) which claims to be able to hook up Macs to contemporary MD recorders. Does anyone have experience with this device? Is it possible for Mac users to have the same experience with MD equipment as Windows users now? For example, is high-speed audio transfer, recording in LP4 mode, or using the Hi-MD devices as USB drives possible now for Macs?
Christopher
Welcome. It would not be high-speed, but rather a 1:1 transfer. You could use any music playback program to facilitate the transfer since this device basically acts as a soundcard..this thing is very similiar to the Xitel DG-2 and etc.
wtree
OK... so does that mean that I can't take advantage of LP4 or Hi-MD as USB drive? I assume that stuff requires the right software and has nothing to do with the Transit device.
