Hi,

I have a problem with my Sony MDS-302.

The motor for the loading-chassis does not work. The motor itselv is ok, it works if I use an external Power unit (I took 5V).

Could it be possible to solve the problem with a "global system reset" ? And how to do this ?

Or could there be a problem with the motor driver IC ?

Very thanx for your help, I hope I will get it run ;-)

Greetz,

Hi,

hmmm, that page I found before, but no repair info about my problem or a service manuel ...

Btw: My first MiniDisk Recorder was (and is  ) a Sharp MD MT15.

Any other info how to get the Loading-Motor run ?

Otherwise ...

does anybody know on which pin to get the signals for eject and for loading ?

I think I could ask the "eject"-switch and the switch on the loading-unit for the loading-signal, but there are other things ...

I think (I don´t know because I got it for 10€ broken from ebay) that it puts out the MiniDisk when it is turned off ... and perhaps generate other Signals for ejecting the MD.

What I plan is that if I do not succeed in repairing the problem I will put an Atmel AVR 90s... microcontroller in the player to catch the signals and to generate the Signal for the loading/ejection - Motor ;-)

Now it works with an external Power supply, but this manual handling is not so good. Later it shall work in my Stereo ;-)

Greetings,

medra

btw: Does anybody have experiance in adjusting the Laser power ? When CD-Players will not work you can adjust the decreased laser power by a potentiometer...

In the service-menue there is a Menuepoint named Laser Power Adjustment. Does anybody have experience with it ? I have probs with an older MD (which is played by my Sharp portable without probs).
