Paragon_X
Hi.. I'm Paragon_X first time poster long time reader. I've had various issues with my mini disc and manage to use realplayer as the way of transfer but realize it limits the capablity of lp4 recording. Anyways, the issue I have that bugs me is that SonicStage 2.2 or 2.0 which ever is the newest will not work for me. When I begin to run the program a msg appears saying it has to update the datasbe and will restart. Well reading various posts the database is fresh so I owuldn't understand.. it then pops another window that says databse convertering and no progress is made and the window closes and the program everytime. Reading other posts I have learned that I should install Jet 4.0 and other datasbe stuff off of micorsoft but to no avail. I hope someone has a solution to me being able to bypass this converting of a database.
Christopher
Hello Paragon, thanks for registering and being a long time reader. I recommend before we start any troubleshooting, just to make the slate is clean, that you uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all], and install Sonicstage 2 only. Then we'll go from there..

Christopher
So it still doesn't work? What errors are you getting now?
Paragon_X
I am getting the similiar errors. Nothing has changed, pops up the menu about to convert the databse and it closes. I've tried multiple stuff, I can't begin to understand why this one program crashes. If there are any windows updates you have plz post em, I've tried ther Jet 4.0 like I said and some others. Christopher
If you uninstalled exactly how it prescribes in the NetMD faq [or that thread you linked], have all windows updates, a fresh battery/AC connection to unit, all files I prescribed in similiar situations then you're options are: Uninstall exactly how it prescribes in the NetMD faq [registry edits + uninstalling ALL related files as per the direcitons] and install iceeedtea's build of SS2, or try your luck on another computer. If you do try another computer don't install from connect.com, try iceeedtea's build.

Paragon_X
Alright.. when the program began I said unbelievable. Either way, a new problem has risen where music source is I select import music files instead of record cd. Then the box pops up and I select a folder etc.. somtimes it will convert and process fully, but after that I can't find any of the music in my library, and the music source still lies on record cd and doesn't stay on import music files.. so just to clarify,. one problem remains and that is that I cannot keep the music imported and processed
Christopher
Did you restart the computer after you installed the program?
Paragon_X
yes, the program requires a reboot after installation.. in fact I think it forces it.
Christopher
Do you have any codecs that are installed? Uninstall them.
Paragon_X
ok.. well I tried the codec stuff but to no avail. Anyways I reinstalled and forgot to mention that during the process a dialog pops up and says... C:Program FilesCommon FilesSony SharedOpenMGSeamlessManager.dll Class Not Registered I click continue and finish the installation. Anyways, we've got it far as to be able to run the program which is a big leap for me and I'm greatful, if you have anymore tips on how to manage music in the library please say so.
