robbith
Hey guys, after my MZ-N910 recently stopped being 'Net' compatible - as in I can no longer connect it to the computer, I've started looking around for other units to replace it. I'm not going to get rid of it, because it still records and plays perfectly, but instead of getting it repaired, I want to just buy a new unit - because the repair cost will probably be the same anyway. I've decided on going with the Sony MZ-NE810. I understand that it's a Japanese-only unit, but I like the look of it, and it's nice and small as well - also has Net compatibility which is my main 'want'. What I would like, is comments from people who own/have owned a MZ-NE810. Just anything about them - good/bad/whatever. I want to know peoples thoughts before I buy one - preferably people who don't live in Japan, then I'll have a better idea of compatibility and stuff. So, any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Christopher
I have no personal experience with the NE810, but I do know that the issue with your N910 may be solved by some troubleshooting. When you say that it is no longer capable of downloading tracks, are you sure it isn't just a software issue? To assure me of such, head over to our NetMD forum, uninstall everything via the directions in the NetMD faq and install Sonicstage 2. robbith
Hey sorry about the length of time it took to reply, I havn't really had much time/access to the net lately. are you sure it isn't just a software issue?Yes, I'm positive. I tried the steps of unistalling everything, then reinstalling SonicStage 2.0, and it didn't help, so there's definately something wrong with the unit itself. I'm going to get a quote on its repair price some time soon, if it's a ridiculously large ammount I'm just going to buy a new one. It only cost $350 in the first place, compared to what it was retail in Aus ($699). Anyway thanks for your help.
