limax
Rather than use my sony minidisc MZ 700 +AKgGmicrophone set up to input direct to my PC and sound forge stuff, I think there would be an advantage to using a deck minidisc player like the Sony JE 530 or JB 930? Any advice gratefully received. I tend to record at 4x (my my hearing- no loss of quality over normal speed given the sort of live stuff i'm listening to!) .. can either/ both these decks play back x4 discs? Many thanks, Neil (UK)
jadeclaw
Hmm, LP4? Then start with the JE640 or the JB940 or younger. JE530 and JB930 cannot play LP4. I suggest, you look here and then buy accordingly: http://www.minidisc.org/deck_table.html Look for MDLP. Unless your soundcard doesn't have digital in, the deck should have digital out as well, as that improves the soundquality. Oh, and a home deck makes editing much easier as well. limax
Thanks for the fast advice, have gone for a JB 940 as you suggested. Have an audiophile 2496 card in my PC. Neil
