bigal
Hi everyone - new member bigal here. I have a large music collection on Audio CD's. These were copied from the originals using my standalone Pioneer PDR509 CD recorder. Although the Pioneer unit has optical in/out I have always used conventional phono jack leads when recording as the source has no optical out - which I guess means that the method I have used is analogue? (or digital coaxial?) Anyway, I recently purchased a Sony MZ-N710 NetMD portable believing that I would be able to copy these copied (analogue) CD's onto my PC then directly onto the MD using the software and leads supplied. How wrong I was as you all well know. Anyway - as a compromise I now want to try and copy these CD's from my Pioneer PDR standalone via optical cable to my NetMD portable at LP2. What I need to know is if the portable will auto track number because I am using the optical cable?
Christopher
Welcome, bigal. This should work, but there is no harm in trying. Most digital connections like this work do well with trackmarking [at least in my experiences].
