bobk
I'm looking to sell my Aiwa XR-MDS7 bookshelf system. This unit was purchased from Onoden in Akihabara, Tokyo in Summer 2000. I bought this unit because it is amazingly thin for an MD/CD bookshelf system. It has an AM/FM tuner, remote, equalizer, etc. All original paperwork is included. The manuals are in Japanese but most of the text on the LED display is in English, it should be easy to use and it has great sound from both the tuner and the discs. It is in perfect working order and mint physical condition, I will ship it in the original packaging. This bookshelf system was never sold here in the US. I will include a 100-120V converter so that it can be used in the US. Also I will throw in 15 74m discs (some also purchased in Japan). http://www.minidisc.org/part_Aiwa_XR-MDS7.html Only Paypal is accepted. If someone wants to purchase this item but would feel more comfortable doing it through eBay we can work something out. I thought I would post this here before eBay. My ebay username is bob-2k. $250.00 (includes continental US shipping), send me PM via the board. I would like to sell it within the next month. Once the item is sold I will post another message. Tristan
hi bob, I presume one can record from the radio onto mini discs also? Tristan
bobk
Yes you can record from the radio to MD. However I do *not* believe there is any sort of "timed record" or "repeating record", e.g. record station xyz every morning for 30 mins. wayne_cramp
I can't believe you didn't get one bid. I'm in the market for a bookshelf system, but I do want the timer recording feature.
bobk
Anything MD that is sold here in the US probably won't have that feature, if you see one please post it. As for stuff bought in/from Japan, I wasn't looking at any bookshelf systems on my last trip in May so there might be something new that I haven't seen. Bookshelf systems there have gotten pretty sophisticated recently, might be worth an email to Japan-Direct or similar.
