mr.java
Sonic Stage worked for about forty tracks of mp3 to MD converting, and then I got a wrong format error on every file (mp3,wav,wma,etc.) :wacky: I found a fix by accident. After uninstalling several times I gave up on mp3 to MD converting. So I tried to use Sonic Stage to apply a Rage Against The Machine CD to my Library and got another error saying that I needed to restore my system files and Sonic Stage will close and open a restore utility. I did the restore and now everything works. I can transfer mp3 again and I got RATM in my Library. I looked all over for the answer to the wrong format prob and I couldn't find a solution but I found alot of post with the same problem. So I apologise for repeating someone's solution. Thanks to all the other post that helped me along the way.

mr.java
O.K. I lied in the post above. I fixed the wrong format error for about 4 tracks worth of transferring. Now I get another error saying something about zero transfers. Go figure. Sonic Stage won't let me put my Rage on to a minidisc. So I have now decided to form a band called Rage Against The Sony, and write songs about bad software released by corporate America and distributed to unaware consumers. Christopher
How to properly reinstall NetMD: 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This means, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage, Simple Burner, and RealOne. Make sure that you unplug your unit. 2. If you run Windows XP, proceed to delete directories within 'Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation' 'Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared' 'Program FilesSony' relating to OpenMG. 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. 4. Download the newest versions of the NetMD software* after disabling anti-virus software(s) that may consume a heavy amount of resources. Assure your windows is up to date, too [windowsupdate.microsoft.com]; this is espesically important for Windows 2000 users. After installation, start the software and plug in your unit - make sure you install the software first! * - Sonicstage 2 from connect.com.
