The hosts - file allows you to enter names and IP-Addresses of often used files and internal servers. it is found here in WinXP: C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc Normally it is empty except for an example. md1runner Posted July 29, 2004 Author Report Share Posted July 29, 2004 I checked the etc file and there are these things in it, hosts--imhosts--networks--protocol--services. When I click on host I get a message that windows can't open it because it doesn't know what created it.... I will try the other link...
