mr.java
I've done everthing I can find on the forums to get Sonic Stage to work, but have had no luck. I did the proper uninstall including registry edits as described in the FAQ section, but SS2.0 still crashes and reboots my pc after about 3 transfers to the MD. I also can't get Simple Burner to work either. If I make and mount an image using Nero Image Drive, I should be able to use SB to transfer to MD. But I get a recording failure as soon as I hit the record button. I even followed the steps by Dino. Am I missing something? I saw a mention of Sonic Stage 2.1 in another post. Can I download version 2.1 at connect.com? Or is that not out yet. Is there even any plans to fix Sonic Stage and its numerous bugs. Heres my specs: 2.8GhzP4 with Hyper Threading 1GB Crucial RAM DDR400 ASUS P4P Deluxe Motherboard Chaintec FX5700 128MB 8X Video Card Seagate 120GB SATA HDD DVD-+R/RW drive WindowsXP Pro with all current updates Sony netMD MZ-NF810CK with StinkyStage1.5 and netMD drivers CDROM I would realy like to be able to transfer at faster than 1X. Using the optical out on my CD player takes to long. I just want my netMD to do what the packaging says. jadeclaw
2.1 can be downloaded at connect.com. Another question arises here: One user had serious crashes, as long as the driver of his memory-card-reader was active, another user reported a conflict between SonicStage and the synchronizer of his PDA. The NetMD driver seems to be a bit anal about other USB-Devices.
mr.java
I have an HP printer with a memory card reader built in. Including sony memory stick. Would this cause a conflict with Sonic Stage or Simple Burner? If so shouldn't sony have thought of that? Software engineers are in their own world. jadeclaw
Pull it out and restart the comp. Since this isn't much work, I would give it a try
mr.java
Sonic Stage 2.1 fixed the problem. I've been trying to figure this out for a month. I should have waited for version 2.1 to come out instead of stressing over it.Oh, well. I haven't actually used the new Sonic Stage 2.1, becouse it fixed my problem withSimple Burner. So why do the check out thing when I can use the awsome advice of Dino and Image Drive. I don't think my memorystick drive was conflicting. I think Sonic Stage 1.5 and 2.0 was not compatible with my system. So far I have compiled 3 new MD's with Nero and Simple Burner 2.0 with no problems at all. I could only get 3 tracks before. Thanx jadeclaw for letting me know of the new update. When did that come out? I am going to let all my netMD buddies know.
