sxc
When I ask the board to show me all new posts since last visit, it shows me the appropriate list. However, if I read one of them, then hit my "Back" button, quite often, it will refresh the list and then say "No matching posts for search criteria" or something like that. Sometimes if the l;ist doesn't get refreshed, but I click on the icon that takes you to the first unread post, it will say "Nothing meets criteria" again. I think if possible, can we have the board be a little more leniant in what it considers the last visit to the board? It must be interpreting my Back/Forwards as new visits to the board. Christopher
A while ago I had implemented a modification that kept unread posts active until you read them, but the code was so poorly written that it slowed the forums down considerably. This is what I would do: ..and do as such: Visit the forums, log-in if necessary, go to the new posts and open the new posts within a new tab. That way you never reload or leave the original new posts page that you initally opened. I really recommend you give this a web browser a shot if you're using Internet Explorer, as it's terribly unsafe and Mozilla Firefox is much more sophisticated and secure. I haven't met anyone who's "made the switch" and hasn't liked it.
