Sonicstage has some limits in converting MP3 files, from the helpfile:

However, the following music files cannot be transferred to any other devices/media, even if imported into My Library.

MP3 format music files with a bit rate of less than 32 kbps.

MP3 format music files with a bit rate of more than 320 kbps.

MP3 format music files with a variable bit rate.

If all fails, use your MP3 programm to convert into Wave again and import that.

Hi jadeclaw !

I know the restrictions, but my files are 128 kpss/Lame with a constant bit rate !

I tried to rip one single track from a CD with this format.

Sonic Stage imported the track and sent it to my Net-MD PLayer.

But the Player can´t play the track. It shows time 0:01 and half a minute later 0:02 and so on.

Any help ?

Hmm, lens dirty? I've had the half a minute per second problem when one of my home decks had a dirty lens. Any disc recorded with it showed this problem. After cleaning, it worked again.

Re: the MP3 prob, methinks, Lame and SS2 don't seem to like each other, so going the route via uncompressed wave seems to be the best way.

Thanks jadeclaw !

But uncompressed wav with an amount of 400 CDs in mp3 its not really funny..... !

The trail for the next years leaves the Minidisc alone and goes to Ipods and "real" MP3-Players.

Anyone needs an MD-Deck, two MD-Walkmen and two Car-Radios ???

Ha, ha only joking !!

Thanks anyway for your help !!!
