Hello there i have a mz n10, i have been having problems with it in the last two months, battery was only last an hour, when i went to charging it, it would charge for 15 min, than stopped. I even left it in overnight and still getting short battery life.

Than i had it sent to repair, received it back, worked great, took it for a jog, and the dam thing stopped working. So i sent it to repair, got it back. I ended up sending the unit in 4 times in total because every time i went jogging it stopped working.

Finally i contacted CS, and they would replace it. Well the dummys at sony sent it to repair rather than CS. I got a call yesterday that it was back, i told them to sent it to CS, because they promised me a new unit.

I am totally dis Satisfied customer with SONY. I have been a md user for over 7 years now.

The N10's battery life is short when you first get it. Mine was.

There's nothing wrong with it. It has to do with the long-term storage of Li-Ion batteries. You can't store them at full charge, lest the battery oxidize and is ruined. Likewise, if stored at no charge, the lithium will plate and the battery can explode (!).

All you really have to do is charge it fully, use it, charge it, use it, charge it, a bunch of times. After about a few weeks of "breaking it in" the full battery life should be obtained.

Sending it to Sony was probably not a good idea, but if your new unit has this same problem, just be assured that it's, well, mostly normal. A lot of people here have had the same problem.
