WHICH MD TO USE FOR BACKING TRACKS??

I just stumbled onto this site (thank God) and I need some advice. I play drums in a touring band that uses MD to run backing drum loops, extra guitars, effects, etc. I run it from behind my kit with a click sent on the Left channel and the music sent to the Right.

I've been using a Sony MDS-JE330 for this. I know this model is supposed to be used for home use, which is why after a couple of months it starts skipping. Because of the wear and tear of load-in and load-out.

I need recommendations on what I should REALLY be using. It needs to be rackmountable obviously. I made some custom rack ears for the one now. I need a sturdy and reliable player that won't break my bank account as well. So glad I found this forum! Thanks in advance for your advice!

I would say:

Sony MDS-E12:

Special Feature: 10 Hotstarts, that can be played with a touch of a button without delay.

Tascam MD-350:

Or if you finally decide against rackmount, the HHB MDP-500:

Since these are pro units, designed for heavy duty use, they should last a lot longer than a JE330.

Plus, you get XLR-balanced connectors, which make interfacing with other professional equipment much easier...
