Restoring original settings to a NetMD ??

I have a Sony MZ-N710 MD and have run into a few

problems trying to reset its settings.

When i do the playback test (step 2) from http://www.minidisc.org/sony_mzr_reset.html

i always get the error (035 NG DD). I've tried several discs, but the

same thing happens.

The recording test works fine btw.

The Offset adjust test always shows "setCD!" even when

I press pause.

Also the Power Test fails with the same error as

before. (035 NG DD)

I have also looked through the service manual and tried the "overall adjustment mode". During the CD overall adjustment i get a 324 error (TE offset adjustment 1). Is this error to do with the temp. settings? because i tried changing it and it reverts back to 19.

Any suggestions u could offer me would be greatly

appreciated.

The only problem i can imagine is that you don't have 20 seconds recorded on the disc (meaning 40 in LP2 and 80 in LP4), however, i've only reset my unit once (mz-r900) and it worked.
