zammykoo
Hi, I'm new to the forums...and as well as being new to the NetMDs. But I am familiar with the old school MD players without the net function. I've had a mz-r37 a few years ago and I was satisfied with it throughout the time. But I decided to upgrade to a mz-nf520d. My first impression of this new unit is...UNRELIABLE. It might be just me but for some reason the software that came with it seems to be very groggy and doesn't respond to when I connect the player to the usb jack. I see a little usb connection icon on the right side of my start bar like any other time that I plug up my sony digicam, but the sonic stage doesnt seem to read that anything is being connected. I'm wondering what I did wrong...since I did install everything on the CD and upgraded it to 2.1. It also says "Please insert a recordable disc" when I go to the transfer section...even when I have a disc in the player. If anyone can help I'll greatly appreciate it. aeriyn
By the way, Zammy, the NF520D is a downloader only and you lose the ability to record SP mode discs. Also, SonicStage's software encoder is not nearly as good at encoding as the recorder's internal ATRAC DSP... so even the LP2 is going to not sound so hot. Just my two cents. :rasp:
mr.java
I have had an issue where my sony memory stick drivers where conflicting with Sonic Stage. But I updated the drivers for my memory stick device and all is well now. So be warned if you use other Sony products it may conflict.
