giacecco
I am sure you understand I am DESPERATE. I have just bought a new MZ-NH1, and was uploading several songs on a 1 Gb disc, when SonicStage 2.1 crashed. After that, the MZ-NH1 is not able to recognize it contains a disc or not, and always says "No disc", even with other older working minidiscs. Nothing more to say. It's 11 pm, the only thing I can do is remove the battery and hope that it is some firmware issue going away with the night. Of course I will need to take it back to the shop... but why me!!! :-((( Giacecco
jadeclaw
Take out the battery and wait 30 seconds, then put the battery back in. And of course, restart the PC before reconnecting the recorder. If SonicStage keeps on crashing on your PC, remove it completely and install the 2.1 instead: http://www.connect.com/download.html However, if you want to use the hopelessly overpriced online musicstore, you're stuck with SonicStage 2.
giacecco
Thank you jadeclaw but I already tried that. This is why I will try leaving it without the battery for the whole night... I cannot belive that a SS crash could damage the hardware... jadeclaw
Ouch! That would be the third time in my life, I've seen software damaging hardware... I hope the best.
giacecco
I would not speak too early, but after I put the MZ-NH1 on the charger it started working again. I guess this issue should go straight to the FAQ :-/
jadeclaw
Yes, it should. Seems, every type has a different way of resetting...
