Ok, I'm at my wit's end with this problem.

I've spent over 5 hours trying everthing to fix it and have gone to different forums and (god forbid) even tried to get help from Sony's website.

I never had this problem with Windows 2000 but since upgrading to XP Pro I can't transfer any songs to my Net MD MZ-S1. Yes, I have downloaded SP 1 and 2 and any other updates.

Here's what I've tried:

-I installed Open MG 2.2

-Installed and used SonicStage 1.5, 2.0, and 2.1.....when I did a new install I made sure to uninstall and even went in and removed any registry files and folders

-Updated drivers for my Net MD

-Tried using Real Player Pro

-Borrowed another USB cable

-Used an AC adapter and fresh new batteries

As you can see I've tried everything but chuck it into the ocean!

This forum is my last hope unless Sony gets back with a solution (not holding my breath).

Thanks

PS. I just tried following the instructions on a clean install from this forum and still doesn't work

No I don't think it's because it's MP3s. I say this because I've tried using Open MG which worked prior to XP and I even tried Real Player....all with the same results.

Re-installing my OS is my last resort, really don't want to only because it took me quite some time to re-load all the software and set everything up on here. I did do a clean install of XP prior though, meaning I re-formatted my hard drive etc..

I don't know.....this is just weird. I asked my sister to bring her Net MD player over and try to see if the same thing happens to her's.
