Maybe the Sony NW-HD5 walkman need exactly the same procedure than any MD Net-MD unit, meaning disable first the Microsoft signature control during the setup (see topics about that subject on Sony Insider Minidisc forum). But as I never had a Sony walkman, i could not say that it work. You also need to have the most recent drivers, see the download section.1 point
