MY MP3 Player model mz-nh600D won't get reconized by sonicstage 4.0 for windows XP or MD Simple Burner. Can anybody help me?

How do I get my software to detect my MD player? It makes the little sound when I connect the player to the computer, but I can not put any music on the player or even see the player connected through the program. What am I doing wrong?
