Same to you, but I'm in China, and I use a Chinese Simplified version, I think this problem is the same, and it related to the core of software, like SonicStage, But, I use many different version from 2.1, 3.4, 4.0, 4.3, and I think version 2.1 may be the best choice for you, since I used it for a long time and few problem happened to my system, though I didn't use Vista, What's more, in my opion, Vista is a rubbish except its beautifull themes and windows.
