Greetings All, I have Windows Vista Professional & have not been able to use my player along with it. I downloaded the drivers from this site, but once I opened them I cannot seem to find anything to activate them. No .exe, no nothing. What am I missing here? Thanks, 7P

Hmmmm, I have one of the last Hi-MD models made, as well as another that I purchased in '04 that isn't. Are you saying that unless the model is Hi-MD, it won't work with the 64-bit software? That would suck, pardon my French.

Greetings All, I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this, but here goes. The headphone that came with my MD player are getting a bit ratty and I was wondering where one would go to get a replacement set. Does Shure carry something that will work, or is this something I'll have to hunt for on EBay? Thanks. 7P

I have a 64-bit version of Windows VistaPro & haven't been able to get my MD player to work, nor SonicStage either. I keep getting a message that a driver is missing & I've downloaded it to no avail. I don't meant to hijack the thread, but I thought my problem was similar. Thanks 7P

I'm glad this works for you, I'm still trying to get my vista to recognize my HI-MD so I can transfer music to a mini disc. Cheers. 7thPeer

Hey Everyone, I'm running the 64bit version of vista and I have a problem with it recognizing my minidisc player. Sonic stage 4 boots up fine and I can locate songs, but when I attach the player to the PC via the USB cable I keep getting the same message, "Please insert CD or update driver for this device." I found the Sony support page and downloaded the driver and installed it, to no avail. I keep getting the not recognized message. I try re-installing the driver and keep getting the same message. Help. 7thP

Hey All, Don't ask me how I did it, but I got the computer to recognize the MZ-NH1....................Now the @#$! thing can't seem to see the disc!!!!!!!!! I keep getting a message on the monitor that says, "Insert Disc" I inserted a new blank disc to no avail and I then inserted a 1gig HI-MD disc (That came with it) and I get the same message. I shut the program off and disconnected the unit (he said unit!) and tried starting it up again, same thing. S.O.S.! 7thPeer

Greetings, I'm new here even though I've owned a few models since '04. Having said that, I recently upgraded to windows vista and now the computer won't recognize my MZ-NH1. I've tied re-installing sonic stage, I can't seem to find the exact driver but I don't know why this won't work. Can anyone here tell me where to find the driver? I've been to sony's site, but they don't have it there. I have a four hour car ride trip coming up next week and would like to take a few discs along. Help? Thanx, 7thPeer

Greetings, I'm new here although I've owned my MD player for eight years and I have a technical question I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with. I have a great deal of music still on vinyl and have been trying to find a way to get that music on to my hard drive so that I can make a CD. My father has a combo CD/MD deck unit and a turntable, I am able to record the record selection onto a minidisc, I have a program at home called GOLDWAVE and one of it's abilities is to record what the computer is hearing and in the past I have been able to play a video on youtube and record the music portion onto my hard drive. That was the idea with the minidisc, only it won't record, so I tried transfering the song back into the "My Library" section and I keep getting an error message to the effect of "Unable to transfer due to the fact that the trac was recorded by the MD player, or with an incompatible program". PLEASE! Can anyone here give me a pointer on how to do this? Otherwise I don't know how I'm going to get this track onto the hard drive. Thanx, 7thPeer
