Hi, Backup of the mdb file is rather necessary. On the other hand, sometimes I have no backup and I will try some tools to restore my mdb file. I would like to use a tool called Advanced Access Repair. I have used it to repair many corrupt Access MDB files on my damaged disks successfully. Just post to hope this still can help and this tool can be used at last. Alan
