I am new to all this and have a few questions. Last week I was able to get the following for $25 at a garage sale: MDS-JE320 MDS-JE330 MDS-JE500 MZ-N505 31 used minidiscs I hooked the decks up to my stereo via RCA and they all seem to work great except the MDS-JE330, It makes a clicking sound when there is no disc inserted, but seems to work fine otherwise, any sugestions? The MDS-JE500 seems to be the best unit - I would like to use it to master mixes from a multi-track recorder or DAW and then make CD copies to a sony cd recorder via all via optical I/O. Will I have any problems with SCMS? The MZ-N505 would be handy for live recordings, is the line in both analog and optical, or just optical? Could I hook a mic up to it? Thanks!!
