and say if i install my windows xp in chinese or run the multilingual support pack for windows xp would that fix my unicode problems?
-
occasionally i get Cannot find music file that are not registered to Sonicstage error code:00007180 What does that mean? and is there anyway of fixing it? and as for the titling songs in chinese for the id3 tags ~ is there a way to make it display chinese even though my system's unicode is already changed to chinese? i tried changing the registry and running appolache and it said my system is already set to display the selected unicode so no change is made?
-
if i use the windows xp multilingual user interface pack and change my language to chinese would i still need to run the apploche if i want to transfer chinese mp3 songs? and which version of sonicstage would i need? CP Asia pacific?
-
i'm guessing ur files names are in chinese?
-
ya i know but they don't really have a case for the s705~ they only have the clip and a keychain.
-
i'm looking at accessories from like the uk and the jp site ~ and as usually they are not available in canada ~ so i was wondering where can i order it online that'll ship to canada other then ebay for reasonable price?
-
yup.. so now my temporary solution is to use my laptop with ss and have the windows set to english ~ beats having to restart the computer everytime i switch program to change language
-
hmm i think i finally got it to work :S but i have to set my language in regional setting advance tab back to english first before i can get the appolache to run in traditional chinese ~ it was originally set at Chinese (hong kong) (i guess that's why it said my system is already configure to display the selected unicode, but i don't know why it won't transfer properly though) now i can transfer songs in chinese no prob to the player. but the only downside is all my other program that can originally read chinese folders can't read it now only shows up as ???? ~ is there a way to work around this so i don't have to switch the system language back and forth? (aside from renaming all my chinese folders)
-
yes i did. i use the appolache and tried to run it in traditional chinese and it saids my current system setting can already accomdate the target application in the language i selected the character shows up fine on SS4.2 and also shows up fine in the atrac device in ss but when i look at it on the actual player it's not

i'm using the nw-s705f and the only way for mine to display chinese is use the applocale and run the japanese language one ~ and it seems to crash unless i have the device connected before i run it. and in order for me to display chinese on my mp3 player i have to rename each song to chinese after i transfer it to the device unless it already recognize the characters... that pisses me off so bad coz it takes forever and i have done it for 300+ songs so far and it took me 3hrs already! and even then it doesn't recognize all the chinese character because it's not in the japanese language. i used the cp asia pacific version and it'll recognize the chinese character and even transfer it perfectly. but when i look at it on the mp3 player the characters are all messed up.. any suggestion? i bought my nws-705f in canada so i assume it's the canadian version

i got myself a nw-s705f for xmas here in canada ~ and i was wondering whether or not this thing is capable of displaying chinese? i downloaded the pacific asia version of the sonicstage 4.2 and in the program the character displays properly. and under the atrac device it shows the characters properly ~ but when i look at it on the player itself it's all scrambled. i managed to get it to display chinese if i use the japanese version of the sonic stage but i have to rename each songs to chinese once i transfer it to the player and it takes forever. is there anyway to go around it? 99% of my songs are in chinese and it doesn't help having to rename each id3 tag to english or something
