I do not agree with this, I live in the netherlands and all models here are volume locked. I have a HD1 and unlocked the volume and dissapointingly compared to the HD with the volume unlocked the HD1 gives me distortion/cracks in the sound. It's not my headphones because on the HD5 I don't notice anything, but then again the HD5 has some distortion when the disc runs

It should be faster, I have a Sony vaio of almost 10 years old (using it for downloading now) which has a 12gb hdd (LOL) I've upgraded it into a 120gb and it made less noices and it was faster then before

I have a HD5, I play Japanese and Korean songs on it. I know how to put Japanese/Korean on the tags but the HD5 will only display Japanese. The question is, can I get korean on my HD5 with a korean firmware? If yes, where can I find the korean firmware? I can't read Korean but I need it for my song tags (since I don't know korean I don't know how to type them in english) thanks in advance

yes replace your car's audio deck with one which has a "aux in" input

erm... I have 2 psp's, no1 is one years old still working. no2 is one and a half years old still working... my first sony vaio laptop is still working after 8 years... I had another sony vaio laptop which has lasted almost 2 years, it got a uber hdd failure currently total loss O__o Few weeks back my HD1 breaking down, the buttons doesn't really work anymore but I can still use it bougt it 2 years ago The Sony S2 Sports™ Street Style® MDR-G57G headphones are also breaking down after 2 years the sounds are starting to crack my pairs of Sony MDR-EX71SLA/B died after 1 year because of the body oil around my neck but they were working only the skinning of the wires are g0ne... the ps2 is still working (1year) my home entertainment system (5 years) the NW-E005 was bought at least half year ago but i've lost it... it should be spacing somewhere in my house... recently I got myself a HD5... the new hdtv 46w2000,,, I'm satisfied with all my sony products... with a few exceptions, I'm NOT mentioning the products should last at least for 10 years LOL

if you've read the manual, the 40 hours was based on actrac with 48kbps

drop it in the root directory and turn on yer hd5 menu > options > initialize system > update firmware > wait! while doing this... plugin the power cord!

I see this sometimes also, have you tried a other usb port?
