seems easy enough, i wonder if cradle detection is just there so it knows not to accept voltage from that side, there's only 4 wires breaking off from the cradle side transporting to where the sony cable is then linked to the cradle. usb only has 4 usable, this shouldn't be too hard, i will report back with my findings. i will take photos when i begin the process.

hi, thanks for the reply, i did notice it has the vbus pins but wasn't sure which way is up on the plug itself, i assume it's top down. i'll figure it out.

Hi, i have a mzn10 that I swapped the battery in because the original was toast (even though the unit itself looks insanely mint) but the ac adapter i have is only 5v and it refuses to charge the internal through the cradle, i did not receive the standard sony cable with the kit but i wasn't too bothered because i thought i could eventually get the 6v adapter needed later and charge it like that and somehow mod the cradle for standard usb cables, if anyone had any info on this that would be great, if not, i tried thanks
