HAHAHAH!!! after viewing the story, im pretty happy with what apple did!! It will plainly teach that little girl not to whine to her momy "MOMY MOMY I WANT AN IPOD!!!!!! WAAAA WAAAA WAAA!!" and maybe shell learn that just becasue everyone of her little friends has one, doesnt mean its a good player!!!! Apples response was not harsh at all!! they are covering their asses!! if the reply was different something allong the lines of "Thankyou for your ideas, we will incorporate them in our next gen ipods" the news story would read: 3rd Grader sues Apple for stealing ideas Am i right!? or what! check yoru computer and the song u ar elistenign too, i went crazy once for hours becaue i kept hearign this strange noise coming from winamp. Every song i played had this weird background sound. I rang my friend and told him i was goign nuts, but he heard it over the phoena dn told me to reboot my computer! seemed to be some error on my soundcard. It was actualy my can of miniral water which kinda spilled near the soundcards output. heheh. but yeah if its not that on your pc, see a doctor!!! Leon

1-Sonic STage and conect player are ok, its just taht they run via Flash/Shockwave so there a bit slow on computers with less then 512 ram. Its pretty simplistic too, but hey it works ok. 2-Here sthe deal with eth eq. i have the nw-hd5, it has awsome EQ settings, from a 6 band equalizer to really cool sound effects BUT, and heres the catch 22, you have to convert your cd's to ATRAC to use them,. If you use solely MP3's then you only have access to 2 basci eq settings, which are bass and trebble. Its ok but you knwo its kidna rip off. General speakign though the sound wuality is totaly awsome!! if you have a good set of headphones its, clear, loud, and crisp!!! i have a paior of compact sony ear-buds(mdr-ex51lp), and when i listen to d&b my head rumbles inside. I also have a pair of sienhiezer muf's and they will soudn awsome too. 3-most of these players will play mp3's natively, which means NO CONVERTION REQUIRED, BUT like i said you wont get all the eq settings. Also the battery life will be shorter if you play MP3's vs ATRAC. 4-i think there is a program athta one of the members here wrote calle GYM, its always in these threads. 5-umm this one is the best fan site for sony stuff! THE BEST! Leon -
I dont think SOnicStage as this option, what you can do is this: If you sort it by artist you will get a look like this: #Artist 1 #Artist 2 #Artist 3 #Artist 4 #Artist 5 #etc... if you click on the little box to the left of the artists name it will display all the elbumbs by that artists: #Artist 1 -ALbum 2 --Track 1 --Track 2 --Track 3 --Track 4 --etc... -ALbum 3 -ALbum 4 -etc... #Artist 2 #Artist 3 #Artist 4 #Artist 5 #etc... thats the only way to do it really, or you can get the moded version of Sonic stage: Get it here Leon

The headphones themselves are made of a solid plastic, but the little rubber add-on is silicone or some such material. The pill box is a solid plastic case, but is really awkward to use. ALso i have just been playing arround with the rubber add-on's you get 3 different pairs: small: for ultra powerfull bass and little highs medium: for an equal bass to high ratio large: these end up leaving your ear slighly open, unlike the small and medium sizes so you get only highs and no bass at all. its pretty cool, but ill stick to using the medium size, the small makes your head hurt. I was also going to buy a pair of the 71s, but i prefer the long cable vs the shorter one. Leon

I agree with you on that! Leon -
Hi all, After a wicked party at Phillip Island, i noticed that some lamo stole the headphones from my NW-HD5. So i went out did some research here on Atraclife and other sites and decided to go for the Sony MDR-EX51LP. Why i bought these: -Price, they retail for $79AU and because the generous people at SonyStyle in the city are having a X-mas sale(or some such thing), mine were $62 -Size, these things are tiny, they dont intrude if i put my walkman in my shirt pocket -Looks, they look great Some pictures: These are basicaly them, the rubber bit on the end is removable and it comes with a few extra bits if you happen to loose these ones. The jack is slim-line and rather smaller then any i have seen on any headphones, and is the standard L shape. The headphones come with this tiny little pill-case box, so you can store them inside, they are pretty fragile by the look and feel, so its probably a good idea to use this if you buy them The Good: -They are relatively chea pand well priced for their quality of build and sound -They sound amazing, If you turn the bass up you get a really warm full bass sound, whilst the highs are a little less prominent. If you level out the bass a little and boost the highs, you get a perfect sound -Sound Isolation: the first thing i noticed was my heart beating, then me swalowing my drink followed by my footsteps. These things plug in and its as if you can hear anythign on the outside. I was goign to buy a set of the Shure EC2 but the price was almost tripple -Very small, lightweit and can fit anywhere The Bad: -The sound isolation is something u have to get used to, personaly i freaked out, i have never owned a pair that give this effect, and its rather strange to take them off in the CBD of melbourne, where its noise as. I answered my phone and realized that i had to turn the volume down to minimum on the phone becasue my ears were so sensetive -They are very small and flimsy, the cable is very thin and the ear-pieces themselevs very small, i doubt they would survive a fat mans sitting down on them My rating?: I give these 7/10. good price, great sound, and sleek looks. If you are thinking of buying these, i recomend you try them out first. If you have never used these type of headphones youre goign to get a surprise. Leon PS: Comments are welcome.

Unfortunately, these guys you speak off that make all these amazing new strides froward work for Sony. If they had names i would thank them! but they work for Sony or some other corp, brilliant minds are USED(in the most terrible use of this word) by Sony and other corps so to say this is useless. They cant get any credit because They work for sony and anythign they do is Owned by sony. Pavel on the other hand, was a non tech person, who created a concept, yes you could say a general idea, BUT he did have a wokring prototype and when you have a working prototype, how can you say "he came up with a general idea"? A rebutle would be great Leon -

i get something similar, when i have it in shuffle it sometimes just plays within the unit mode even when the unit mode is turned off, its anoying but i just turn unit on then off and it fixes it. Pretty buggy, ude think these kind of things would be fixed for a piece of electronics that costs so bloody much. Leon
