  1. Thank you very much guys.. this was very helpful. I would try to see what is better for me. The most important thing is to be able to listen a higher quality than LP2. I mean.. you can tell is wrong. I don't understand why they went further with LP4, I don't own it yet I can only imagine the low quality, if already the LP2 sounded.. mmm... sfbp..cand you please tell me more about the formatting? a link or something... Yeah I'm good with 44.1Khz I mean is CD standard.
  2. Hello, I bought an old Sony MZ-N710, mainly because I wanted "top cheap hi-tech". Ok long story short, I was in high-school when I've seen this in Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler, and I was like: "man I would kill for such a thing". Those formats never been popular in Romania (where I'm from) since our country was in deep poverty. Ok, so long story short I had to be 35 years old to get one, second hand, from my country and I paid a hefty 100 Euro for it. ....Ok, meanwhile I'm all FLAC's and studio monitors, high-end professional stuff, but I want to use my MD also. The only problems I have is how to use a "Loseless" format with my unit working with LP2 compression? I know this was called SP, but after some diggings on forums, they say: man no matter if you are recording your music through your optical IN when you play it back the sound will be like LP2 compressed. Well to be fair it would be a possibility for me to find out about this myth (if myth or reality) using experiments and software for comparing things, but my question is, is this true? Is any other way around? P.S. Looking to buy a Hi MD now and hopefully one disc (since they are rarer than gold). I looked some time ago (years) for the top spect model from Sony and a guy wanted like 6000 USD on it so.. nooo thanks I'm paying this.. no way.. my car is cheaper than this.. no way.
