Hi. you have solved a problem for me. I have been trying to get into test mode for my NWZ-A818, I have followed the instuction in the service manual, but it does not work. I noticed the picture you posted had a different sequence of keys to get into test mode, and it worked. The manual that did not work for me is NW-A805.pdf it mentions the NWZ-A818 on ever page. Your NWZ-A826.pdf manual works, and it`s not even for my NWZ-A818 completely different pictures. I wonder how many other people have had this problem. thanks

Hi. 1 : I dont think it does lossless, but mp3 to 320kbps should be sufficient! 2 : The amount of clear-bass depends on what equalizer settings you use, either select none for EQ or you have 2 customisable EQ prersets. regards john.

Hi. I have an NWZ-A818 I ripped a mixed music box-set, 8 disk, but now i have 8 identical album art icons. Is their a way to have all 8 under 1 album art icon, and have the 8 separate once you go inside. When i sync to my sony mp3, I have all 8 icons mixed with all my other albums It just looks like a right mess at the moment. Thanks John.

Hi. I just bought an NWZ-A818 How do you check how much free memory is avaliable, without connecting it to a computer. I can only find the "unit information" menu, which only tells you how many of each files type you have, but not the free memory. Thanks John.

I had a similar problem, i added an album with twenty track, but the software insisted on creating a sepatate album for one of the tracks. I had to rename the 1 track album to match the 19 track album and then the software merges the two together. You might have to renumber the track, as the software gets the track number wrong. just make sure the album and the artist are the same in album view. It takes a bit of fiddling about but you can get it to work. I have only had my 706 a couple of weeks to this is a bit new to me as well. regards. John.

just search the internet for an album, and right click the image and save it to an directory in jpeg fromat. if you have an look at my last picture, in the bottom left have corner of the album properties is an ADD image button. just click it and upload your own pictures, it will be automaticaly resized. try it out. regards. have you tried adding the cover art yourself instead of using automatic, you can download any image and add it to any album? regards. John.

have a look at the picture, you have to right click on the large album picture to the right of the next track button.

it seems to work fine with my 706, have a read. ticking the box works for me. regards. John.

have you enabled the compilation setting tickbox in the album properties, in sonicstage. it is to the right of the next track button of the music player , right click and select cover art settings. then recopy the album to your flash player. I had the same problem, but my 706 came with an additional instructions specific to this problem that is not covered in the user manual. regards. John.
