all manufacturers do that with capacity. When quoted, 1mb = 1000kb and 1gb = 1000mb.

i haven't had great experiences with Sony Service India, but i don't know if it's sony, or all serivce people here. My friend's i-book had some problems and apple service center in GK, Delhi were just as bad as the sony people i gave my MD player to. I'm sure that you'll get your HD3 back, it might just take some time like you said.

if it was working with other players, but not with your HD5, maybe you've got a defective HD5.

i always thought that as long as you weren't reselling your copies that it was ok, otherwise even recording cds to tapes back in the 90's as illegal.

best idea would be to rip straight from CD to ATRAC and try with that.
