1. Sony might just be removing the 40 GB BC then bringing it back later after the 60 gigs are sold out. By offering a lower priced SKU w/o BC it shows that for only $100 more you can get FULL BC for the 60 GB. That gives consumers a choice. 2. Most people don't realize that the majority of people who will buy the 40 GB either already own a PS2 (which they probably do) or do not give a rats ass about BC in the first place. I mean, you're buying a PS3 games TO PLAY PS3 GAMES. I have a ps2 and a large library of ps2 games and I still don't use my 60 GB PS3 to play them. I never play ps2 games anymore. So the point is 40 GB is good for people who are buying the PS3 to play ps3 games. the 40 GB gives you a price where you don't have to sell your PS2 to be able to afford it. So people buying it will most likely already have a PS2. On the other hand if people are just going to play PS3 games (which is highly probable) then the 40 GB is a great deal.

Yes actually I have a bose sound system in my car to bump those beats and it is quality. And ..oh wait..you dont? Yeh exactly. You can't talk about stuff you haven't experienced.
-
1. Nintendo Wii yeh, it's selling like hot cakes because people are mesmerized by the motion sensing controls. It's no longer about the quality of the system with that one, it's the excitement of being able to throw your controller into the TV. Very gimmicky. 2. Bose = yes they do have quality. 3. Nike: Jordan shoes are not as popular as the ipod craze so, no sorry. but what Nike DOES do, is make a shoe ipod compatible = increase in sales. 4. Lol the hybrid market really isn't that large. A lot of people will go in blindly not knowing what they are getting into. You can't just say hybrid and everyone runs coming. On the other hand, you put iPod or iSomething and people will buy it like no other. And how are my products unrelated? I compared an apple product that was way over priced to a non apple product that was worth the price but still expensive for some. Yet...no one complained that the iphone was too expensive. It was more like..OMFG!!! 600 dollars and AT&T WHAT A DEAL (sarcasm). -.-
-
Actually no, PS3 released people complain its too expensive(although selling at a loss)...Iphone released everybody flocks to stores to buy one.(all though selling at a huge gain and not many features). So no, it's just apple.
-
No, this is apple, they could release an eraser with their logo on it. And people will buy it for 50 dollars.

pata2001 stop coming on here spreading your negative comments. When sony realises it..they will probably release firmware to fix it. Sony is starting to improve their walkman line..not neglect it..which is why the went through the effort and teamed up with microsoft etc.
-
Actually Sony is not 5 steps behind anyone. They give you what you want, not gimmicks. Above Average battery life Great sound quality Reasonable headphones Great interface Drag and Drop Firmware Update = Gapless will be added And ipod is coming with...Touch Screen? Why? I need a mp3 player..where I DONT have to look at the screen everytime I try to use it. I want to be able to operate my mp3 without having to devote my full attention to it. New Ipod nano? New design that seems to have been born with a defect and it still sucks :\. iPod classic. Great battery life, great storage. I reasonable buy...but still missing great sound quality and a few other features. So if you're going apple..get the classic..the only thing worth your money. I really think the new Creative Zen showed up Apple this time around. And Sony is releasing nice players that fulfil your needs.
-
true...but when you think about it...it starts at 30 hours..which is better than the others..so even with lowered battery life...it would still b a little higher..or at least at par with the other mp3 players in terms of battery life..and it's not like you're out in the sun for the whole day..so putting it a little brighter..for a while wont do much damage
-
at max. brightness it's easy to read in direct sunlight...and i'm talking 30 degrees celcius direct sunlight
-
so...what was this supposed to do again? lol ...
-
yes pata...their studio probably consists of sony products..no lie
-
you can get the plugin that lets you us Winamp o.O...but you'll get used to Sonic stage...i did ...plus i don't think the iPods click wheel is all that good :\...its annoying if anything
-
Sorry i can't read that and stand by. Many people love iPods because it's fashion. 1. I really don't care what the artist intended i want my sound quality -.- 2. Sony actually enhances what the artist wants you to hear. 3. iPod relates closer to the original music...on a radio station -.- 4. Yes I have had experience with all ipods Basically...i really don't find Sonic stage that bad. I guess it depends on the person. And although you may hear many problems about Sonic Stage on the other end...you hear problems about iPod...so it's not that itunes is bad..it's that iPod causes the problem. So sony has a reasonable Sonic Stage..and a valuable player...while Apple has a great itunes...and a problematic iPod...for the same price as the ipod ( depending where you live) you get so much more...plus...the sony comes with 100 dollar headphones?...you're already getting more than you're paying AND headphones worth 100 dollars?...sony really has a product here. Don't fall into the Apple crowd..who actually have no idea that other mp3 players exist...and that an iPod is an mp3 player (chuckle) I used to be iPod CRAZY...then i saw the light...that there were better DAPs out there
-
maybe the song itself is bad quality...so when you play it with a good quality sound system you notice all the little nooks and crannies..i've noticed this with my bros sound system...for his car...he improved it a lot and some songs you notice their quality isnt as good as others.
-
you can also organize folders in Sonic Stage...and i think you can take your folders from WMP and put them into Sonic Stage so they are still organized...in the NWA-800 u can create your own playlists while listening to the music...and delete what you don't want while using the player...so if you have something that you don't like..and you want to change it..you can just put it in the trash bin..and refer to it when you load up sonic stage again
