  1. Here is the log file stating the problem it says "Cannot coerce null to instance" anyone else with connect problems have the same error in their log?
  2. Having had so many problems with the connect player software i decided to do a format of the hard drive.Having spend a day and a half doing that to get a full system setup with all my programs on and then doing a ghost image just to be on the safe side.I decided to put connect back on and update it at the same time.I imported all my albums from my hard drive all that went slowly but smoothly.I connected my first a1000 to it i renamed it to my sons name and transfered the albums that he wanted.I then connected my other sons player up renamed that one and transfered his albums up to it.All fine so far.I then closed down the connect player and then later tried to reopen it back up.Thats where my problems are starting again it has just hung at the splash screen.I rebooted the computer and have tried it again as of yet it is staying at the splash screen for the last 15mins. And i so thought that i had it sorted. Oh well. At least they have some music to listen to on christmas morning. Comp spec is AMD64 3500 1gig ram 320gig sata hard drive,i think that the computer is well in spec. I did read somewhere that sony will be releasing a update on the 25th Nov due to the speed complaints of the software
  3. i installed sonicstage from the full installer from here i downloaded it this morning.I will uninstall it try and find my original sonicstage i had with my mini disc and go through the update from there.
  4. I've now got sonicstarge 3.3 installed and cannot get it to reconise the 2 a1000 player.I have the checkbox to automatically start sonic stage when a atrac device is connected but i have nothing in the devices pane.I have tried all ways to get it to see the device.I have stared sonicsatge then connected the a1000.I have connected the a1000 and then started sonicstage.I'm getting pretty desperate now as my son will be having a lovely expensive paperweight for christmas!
  5. Cheers Brucem thats exactly what i meant.I spoke to sony uk about it and they have filed the question but all he could recommend was to use sonicstage 3.3 for the other one untill they have a fix/solution for it.
  6. Yes it does. It seems to remember what is on the actuall player for when you want to delete them.I will phone sony asap and let you know what they recommend.
  7. I have now managed to get the connect player working very slowly on my computer but cannot get it past the splash screen on my sons computer. My question is how is it possible to use the connect player on my computer to transfer songs and delete them just from mine.I transfered song to one of them and then tried to connect the second one but all i had was a screen on the right showing what was on the first one with no way of transfering to the second one. hope that not to much info and that you can make sense of it. heers
  8. I spoke to sony uk this morning to complain about the connect software. When i have loaded up connect with the update to the latest version it hogs130mb ram just sitting there.I have not connected the players up yet as they are for xmas for the kids. The guy at sony took all my details,Even what i had for breakfast, well thats what it felt like.Anyway he could not shed any light on the subject and said he waould have to speak to the technocal people about it.I am using xp home amd64 3.5 cpu and a 1gig ram and it just hogs the system. http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262988 there is a screen shot here showing "tinyhttp" which is part of the connect program.Anyone else having problems with it i suggest you ring up sony on 0870511999 and complain and perhaps they will take it serious and bring out a update soon. Can i use sonicstage 3.3 along side this connect and then connect the kids a1000? Cheers
