  1. I've also been trying to use VoidMP3FM - but with the NW-E002 I've also followed the rather unhelpful instructions and got the No Database message from the player when I turn it on. I've tried to create a folder 'in the program' Doing this on the left hand side of the VoidMP3FM window I can make a folder but can't do anything with it It won't open, for example. I have tried to drag MP3s from the computer to the folder but get the crossed circle symbol which indicates it can't be done. I'm rather flumoxed by this - I guess there is something I'm not doing right but can't for the life of me imagine what it is. I can open the device as a normal folder and it contains: OMGAUDIO voidMP2FM (the program!) If I drag folders of MP3 files to the device they can be seen - but I get the No DATABASE error when I switch on the player. Some decent simple instructions would be helpful - best of all would be someone hacking Sony devices to work with MediaMonkey!!!!!
  2. Very good - and superb timing, apart from having to wait until April. Have Sony just given in on the HD player front one wonders. I can see the benefit of flash drives but the capacity is still a limiting factor - 16Gb versus 160Gb!!!!!! Well I suppose that 16 Gb is Ok if you operate from home and can easily change your mobile library on a whim. I can be away from base for months at a time and value having almost all my music away with me. I could, of course, simply divide my music into two or take a DVD archive with me. Not too happy with the idea of joining the iPod sheep so I'll probably get one of the A929s so long as the price is OK.
  3. I have an NWA3000 totally stuffed with my music - mainly classical and Jazz. If I want to add anything else I have to delete something first. I'm going to need a new player bigger than 20Gb soon but Sony don't appear to have one - not even a 16Gb Flash player. Does anyone know when/if Sony are going to release something suitable or must I end up with an inferior ipod Classic like so many others?
  4. Ordering one almost as I type this! One question: I tend to move around a lot and use several different computers for ripping files (yes my own CDs, of course). With my HiMD this got me in trouble when wentto sell it to raise the funds for the MP3 player. I tried to back up the discs to a computer so that I could put them onto the A3000 when it arrives. SonicStage wouldn't let me because I'd used other computers to rip the tracks. I'll have to start again and rip all the CDs afresh - which should keep me busy over Christmas! Is there any way round this nonsense?
