  1. I got my player repaired recently, when it came back they had updated the firmware on it to v3.00 since then my player has become very slow when scrolling from menu to menu and even when playing and stopping. is there any way to sort this out, or revert back to the old firmware. i haev even tried defragmenting it using the windows system tool which i saw suggested on this forum a while back when my player got slow. but that didnt work cheers. jiminy.
  2. yeh im so foolish. i thought i tried that. thanks! i had done it before, im just an idiot.
  3. dammit, mine use to have the volume unlocked. but then my player broke and i sent off to sony central service UK for it to get fixed. it came back with the v3.00 firmware on it and now when i go into the service menu i can't select anything using the play button, all i can do is scroll through it all, but i cant enter in any of the sub-menus. anybody got any ideas?
  4. Hi, I have read that SonicStage 3.3 works with the Sony NW-A3000 as an alternative to Connect Player, the only features which do not work when using SonicStage 3.3 is the artist link function I believe. I am just wanting to know if anybody knows whether SonicStage 2.3 is compatible with the Sony NW-A3000, I want to convert some music using SonicStage 2.3 (the current version I have from my Sony NW-HD3) ready for when I recieve my Sony NW-A3000 on Monday morning so that I can instantly transfer some music onto it. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance, jiminy-cricket
  5. Hi, I was looking for a remote for my new Sony NW-A3000, I previously had an NW-HD3 which I loved but decided to upgrade. Anyways, as I was saying I have looked at www.sony.co.uk and the remote which is shown on the "Accessories" page under "Remote Controls" is the RM-NWS1 now looking at this this looks ok and everything, but there is no LCD screen? Anybody have this and is it any good? But.... by chance I was looking at the Service and Support pages on the Sony site, I went to the support page for the NW-A3000 and saw the heading "Accessory Support" and under this the link RM-MC35ELK For NW-A I downloaded the manual and this remote seems to work with the player, does anybody know if it works fully and why on earth if it does why is it not advertised under the "Accessories" page of the player? The reason why I ask this question about the RM-MC35ELK is beacause every site I go on it only talks about the NW-HD1,3 and 5 being the players for it, the only site mentioning the NW-A3000 is the actual accessory manual which I downloaded from the link above. I also remember when looking for a remote for my HD3 this was the one I saw and was recommended. So really I'm just asking if anybody really knows if it is fully compatible and if it is worth getting, or should I stick to the RM-NWS1 as advertised? Thanks in advance for the help, it is greatly appreciated. jiminy-cricket
