  1. If you divide 6038KB by 1024 (KB per MB) you will get 5.89MB. The file size was correct, just being reported differently.
  2. This was my first unfortunate experience with SS CP 4. Previously I have been using Connect Player with a NW-A3000 with very few major issues. The following are the problems so far with SSCP 4. 1) Despite deselecting everything to do with updating tracks, it insists on randomly changing the Album Artist field on WMA tracks. Sometimes to un-viewable character sets. 2) The first time I imported all the tracks into SSCP4, the connected a freshly formatted NW-A3000, only half the tracks ended up being transferred. Re-formatted, and all transferred across. 3) After the first successful transfer, when re-attaching the NW-A3000, the same 10 or 20 songs are transferred time and time again, ending up in lots of duplicates. Re-building the SSCP4 library and re-formatting the device makes no difference. CP may have had problems, but at least the latest version of it did not mess up the tags, and transferred music correctly and accurately. Despite looking every where, I cannot find out how to fully uninstall all the SSCP features that are installed the first time. I also cannot find an easy way to delete and re-create the library on SSCP4, like you can with CP. Until SSCP is fixed, it more of a problem than CP, can't Sony get things right and at least involve the community with some Beta testing so that a vaguely useable product is released.

    NW-A3000 with firmware 3.0

Many thanks for the reply. I eventually did notice what it did. regards
  4. There is a new feature called 'New Song Pop Up' under Display Settings. Anyone know what this is? After setting it to on, I can't find any difference in the way songs are played/displayed.
  5. My issue has now been escalated to a higher team within Sony. The unit unit never returns to the menu screen when plugged into the mains adapter, but charges fine connected via USB on a Windows XP system.
  6. I have just been given a NW-A3000, and have this exact same issue. Prior to the firmware upgrade to 2.01, I could charge the unit from the mains adapter, and access menus etc. Since the upgrade I cannot use it at all when plugged into the mains charger. The charge light briefly comes on, and then goes off, and it says connecting for ever. Charging doesn't take place either. No issue charging it from a PC once drivers etc are loaded correctly. I cannot charge the unit from the small docking station via the mini-usb 5V DC in lead that the station comes with. Works ok with the multi-connector connected to a USB port on a PC. Awaiting a reply from the dedicated helpline, promised feedback within 5 working days.
  7. Thanks for the feedback with regards to CP. So it looks like it is a general problem with SS and imported WMA tracks.
  8. I have about 4000 WMA tracks and have tried importing them into SonicStage 3.3 All the WMA tracks end up with a track number of 0. When read with Media Player or windows explorer the track number is correct. All my MP3 tracks get imported correctly. I want to buy a NW-A3000, but not if Connect Player has the same problem. Some of my albums are track number relevant, e.g musicals, audio books etc. I have searched this forum and others and cannot find an answer. Does anyone know how I can make SonicStage use the track number from with the wma, or if connect player will import correctly. I really don't want to have to rip all my cd's again! Many thanks
