  1. Thank you for your reply, that is just what I wanted to know. I didn't know that the built in noise cancelling would only be for the Japanese models. It would be nice to have this feature as I do have a pair of MDR-NC022s lying around, oh well I'm not too dissappointed. I hope when it arrives in Australia it isn't too over priced, especially with the 829.
  2. This is a good review. I am interested in purchasing the 829 although I'm confused? You said it comes with bluetooth headphones so do they also come with the MDR-EX082 and are the MDR-EX082 that comes with this player noise cancelling (looking at the picture, it appears to have noise cancelling built it)? The MDR-EX082 that came with my NW-A806 don't have noise cancelling.
  3. Thank you very much! I've been looking for this ever since i bought this player.

    NW-A806 - Sound Issue

Hi, I have a NW-A806 and when i put my volume over 20/30 the sound starts to get wierd. With clear bass on at this volume, when ever there is bass in the song that plays, the sound would go noticeably softer then when there is no bass the sound would go loud again. It is more noticeable as you turn up the volume or put more clear bass. Is this normal or is it because there is some sort of volume limit? Its not the earphones because i have tried different types and the same thing happens. This only seems to happen when i put on clear bass but when there is no clear bass, its normal. Can anyone please tell me whats going on and does this happen to you too?
  6. I have a NW-A806 and I listen to it moderately. My battery usually lasts me a week. Sometimes when I listen to it alot in one day, one bar would disappear sometime near the end of the day, but normally one bar would go away after 1 and a half days of moderate use. I have no clue if yours is a defect or not but if it does turn out to be one, I'm pretty sure Sony would replace or fix it for free if it is still under warranty.
