Just like many, many of you lot and aparently, half of Sony Walkman owners I'm having problems with software. The issues described with mine are on an exact par with the rest of the forum, but instead of waiting, sending the odd email why don't we do something about it? My suggestion is Easy Option (Most Practical) Set up a website, similar to the one documenting that the screen problems of the Apple iPod Nano (www.flawedmusicplayer.com - site offline) asking Sony to release some sort of patch so we can use our beloved Real Player, Windows Media or iTunes (or just release a DECENT SonicStage or Connect) If we get enough support it would really open Sony's eyes and end the 'curse' that aparently affects Sony's players.
