hi, i have put the box in the loft and i left the cd in there... but we but a load of other stuf in yesterday and the box is at the back so i dont realy want to move everything to get to the box - call me lazy but it was hard enough getting it all up there in the first place! lol anyways, is there a place i can download the connect software? on the sony site i can only seem to download the patch so, is there any chance of someone giving me a link to the full version as i cant seem to find it - or are you going to make me move everything thanks chris

ok i wanted to ask about this.. but didnt want to make a thread for it i have the 20gig player but it only comes up as 18... i know you loose some space on drives etc but 2 gig is a lot and i would have thought they would have taken this into account... and the firmware couldnt take up that much room either? i dont think its the player as ive had two and they both show up as the same...

thats fine i will have to check what make/model it is (ill do this as soon as i can - my sister is using the car atm) when i say front mounted aux i mean it has a socket that looks just like the one your headphones plug into... im sure you will be able to use the aux socket at the back... just use a differant cable? 3.5 to whatever connection is at the back? well worth the £2 i say lol

sorry for not updating you on this but good nes - it works!! it was abot quiet until i changed the audio output to lineout now it works fine (great sound even with my speakers and loud!) i also have a soft case to protect my player and i got a new one as mine started to creak (thanks amazon ) ive also managed to put all of my CDs onto the player so im happy now

i found that the battery lasts a VERY long time, not sure how long i might test it soon... but it does seem to last a long time (over 20 hours iirc...)

sounds good ill order it from a differant site when i buy my case (its a bit more but saves on p&p ) as soon as i deside on the case ill order it!

hey, im going to be getting a case for my a3000 and im going for either the silicon or the soft one, ive seen pictures of them both and i think the softone looks better but i would have to take it out of the case to use it. the silicon case looks a bit ugly imo, does it look that bad when in real life than it does in this picture: i like the idea of the grip on the silicon one (wont fall off the dash or what ever) and also the fact that i can use it while its on but it just looks ugly... lol so what do you think of both the case? has anyone got them and would recomend one over the other? i dont realy like the new plastic ones coming out, they look a bit silly and i dont like the idea of putting hard plastic over the top of my NW

well there is also the p&p ontop of that hehe im a cheap ass i would use the casette adapter (i have one) but i dont use it as i dont have a casette player (well i do but there is no power to it )

well the radio/cd player in my car has a plug/connector that say aux over the top so i thought that i would be able plug my mp3 player is there (through the headphone socket on my A3000). ive just had a look at it and it looks like a headphone socket but it does have "AUX" above it... i dont know much about sound systems but im guessing it stands for auxiliary? could you/anyone give me a link to the cable that i would need? EDIT: it only looks like its a 3.5 socket so would this work? http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/ind...roducts_id=1125

well as no one has replied im guesing that i cant use the aux connector for this use? what other options do i have for using it in my car... other than something like the itrip (in another post on this page) or one of those casette tape things as i dont have a casette player in my car?
