The only message I get is that SonicStage cannot find any music files that are not already registered with SonicStage, meaning that all my music files are already in My Library, and that there are no new files to add. Here's the exact wording: Cannot find music files that are not registered to SonicStage. (Error Code: 00007180) So that would mean that all your MP3s are already in your library, and that you don't need to import them again.

And in a few weeks - Australia.

Here's a link to the American version of SonicStage 3.4: http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/swu-downl...id=1468&os_id=7 But this is for the NW-HD1. You might want to get the version that has the drivers and stuff for your model. You can search here: http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/select-sy...DIRECTOR=DRIVER

You can choose not to have the DRM function when using SonicStage 3.3 or later to import tracks. Those already in your library that have DRM enabled, however, need to be converted again. As long as you choose the same bitrate as the original file, it should take a second to convert each song from DRM to non-DRM.

Probably because they realised that by selling it at the high price they wanted, no one would buy it, and it was too special/expensive to make it cheaper. A wise marketing move by Sony, most likely.
-
As I said in the E-Series Pricing at Sony Style UK, it's pretty cheap for Sony. Last year's NWE-507 with 1GB and FM radio cost $349! This year's NWE-003 is $149! Guess they realised that no one was stupid enough to buy something at that price when there were plenty of other alternatives at cheaper prices. The design was pretty, though. I wonder if we'll get the accessories that Sony Japan are selling.

Here in Australia, it seems that they really want to out-sell the Apple Shuffle - the 1GB NW-E003 is only $10 more expensive than the 1GB Shuffle. ($149 for Shuffle, $159 for NW-E003. The 2GB NW-E005 is $199 and it also has a FM Radio.) I wouldn't be surprised if it sells well; for an extra $10, you can get a screen, FM Radio and a choice of 5 colours.

Is it just me, or when you import m4a files (AAC format), the song title information, artist, etc. doesn't show up, despite the fact that it's already there? The title of the song ends up being the file name, meaning that I have to rename the song title.

*laughs* Blue's my favourite colour though! So it was quite a shock for me to see that it had turned purple. Good to know you fixed the problem!
-
I doubt it'll ever work. Unless someone posts here saying that they can fully utilise their one, we can only asssume that . . . . it doesn't work.
-
Oh. I can't help you there . . . Mine doesn't seem to work either. It never got past 0%. O.O
-
You can turn it off in Tools>Options>Get CD Info and uncheck the 'Get track info automatically with no title or rlease year, or containing no data like Artist Link' option box. Next time you start SonicStage CP, it shouldn't automatically get CD info.
-
You could try enable CD smoothing (in Tools>Options>CD Drive settings>CD importing. The downside of that is that it takes longer to import. Oh, and definitely upgrade to SonicStage CP 4. I have, and had no troubles with it at all. Still getting used to the purple-ness after a year of blue-ness . . .

I like neck-chain style earphones. Apart from hanging them around my neck when I need to talk/listen to someone, they're easy to hide with my long hair. Unless you lifted up my hair, you wouldn't be able to tell if I had earphones in my ears or not!
-
But it plays them according to the track number if in Artist/Albums mode.
-
No idea. I've always wondered about this. I do the same thing too - add Disc 1 and Disc 2 to the album titles.
-
192 . . . I'm definitely sure about that one. I think 352 is playable too, but I'm not sure.

SonicStage only lags for me when I run LimeWire at the same time. Are you running any other programs while SonicStage is running?

For the second question, you have to import the files from the Optimized Files folder into My Library, just as you would an MP3. I recommend deleting the MP3 from My Library first (not off the hard drive), then importing the ATRAC3plus file.
